We went with Solawrap for several reasons

We went with Solawrap for several reasons. We dislike replacing stuff when we can get better products that last. The history of Solawrap suggests we will be using our greenhouse for more than ten years. Twenty+ years is very possible. Poly film is not going to last that long so it would have been more wasteful and added effort to replace the film every 6 years or so.”

Last winter was our first and everything held up perfectly

“We made our small greenhouse using Solawrap for extending our Toronto growing season. Last winter was our first and everything held up perfectly. It was really tested with a winter storm that dumped more than our normal amount of snow. Really heavy wet snow. What surprised us was having cool weather greens growing in the raft until mid December. Now we are nearing the end of May and have a huge head start.”

The solawrap worked out really great for my project

The solawrap worked out really great for my project. I bought a used hoop house and the 4’ wrap lined up perfect. My greenhouse is 20’ x 36’. The tip to spray lubricant in the channels was very helpful as that was the toughest part.

We installed insulation in the ground around the perimeter. 4’ of insulation above ground on the north side with steel roofing. Then solawrapped the rest.

I’m in Ontario and we’ve had some heavy snow loads this season. We clear it off each time and other than a subtle sag it has held up very well. The ground inside never froze.”
